The project target group and community face several challenges: a lack of understanding and capacity to address climate change effectively, insufficient technical expertise for sustainable solutions, difficulties in developing project proposals that meet donor requirements, and a failure to integrate gender responsiveness. Additionally, there is a lack of networking and sharing of effective practices among organizations, hindering the scaling of successful interventions. Addressing these gaps is essential for building resilient communities and enhancing the effectiveness of climate change projects.

The objectives of the project are:

1. Knowledge, skills and perspective for effective climate adaptation and resilience building in South Asia is enhanced;
2. Enhance capacity of the BftW-funded organizations in South Asia for climate resilience.
