Strengthening Regional Collaboration for Climate Action through RECAP Project
PEEDA organized the Coordination and Monitoring Meeting of the Regional Enhancement for Climate Adaptation and Partnership (RECAP) project on November 5, 2025, in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The meeting brought together RECAP’s partner organizations from Nepal and representatives from CCDB, Bangladesh, creating an inspiring platform to exchange knowledge, share progress, and identify opportunities for stronger collaboration in advancing climate adaptation across South Asia.

The Coordination and Monitoring Meeting marked an important milestone in the ongoing implementation of the RECAP project, which aims to enhance regional collaboration and institutional capacity for climate adaptation.
Hosted by PEEDA, the event gathered representatives from seven partner organizations in Nepal, along with colleagues from the Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh (CCDB) – RECAP’s lead partner- and the PEEDA team.

The meeting served as a valuable opportunity for partners to share their organizational experiences and ongoing climate change adaptation and mitigation initiatives, while also discussing challenges in accessing climate finance and implementing local projects.
The meeting also created a cross-country learning platform, enabling CCDB and Nepal’s partner CSOs to share insights into how civil society organizations operate in different contexts, the institutional hurdles they encounter, and strategies for overcoming them.

The session concluded with reflections emphasizing the importance of partnership, shared learning, and regional solidarity in advancing climate adaptation efforts across South Asia.
As the project moves forward, the lessons and connections built through this meeting will continue to guide RECAP’s mission i.e., to empower local organizations, bridge regional knowledge, and strengthen climate resilience across South Asia.
