As a part of the Climate Change and Livelihood Project, PEEDA organized a three days capacity building search and rescue training to the search and rescue task force members of Ward level Disaster Management Committee (WDMC)” in Mainapokhari on Jestha 3-5, 2081 (16-18 May, 2024). Around 25 members from ward 3 and 4 of Gaurishankar Rural Municipality and Ward 1 and 2 of Baiteshwor Rural Municipality within Dolakha district participated in the training.

PEEDA believes that, with such kind of capacity-building platforms made available, the capacity of search and rescue task force members can be enhanced in search and rescue activities post unanticipated disasters in their communities.
