Nepal is currently experiencing erratic rainfall patterns, unexpected heavy monsoons, flash floods, glacial lake outburst floods and landslides. The frequency of such natural phenomena is increasing every day due to factors, but not limited to, particularly climate change and unplanned development, causing impact in manifolds to human lives, health and wealth.

As per our localization of climate action, PEEDA has supported a community of 8 households in providing site solutions for landslide management via the application of bioengineering techniques on landslide management structures and delivering slope agriculture land technology (SALT) trainings held on August 21-22, 2024, attended by around 50 community people in Jhyaku, Gaurishankar Rural Municipality, Dolakha. The training also focused on hedge rows, crib walls, palisades and brush layering.
