Empowering future leaders: Engaging the school students in clean energy solutions
From June 4 – 7, 2024, PEEDA organized educational programs on renewable energy technologies and electric cooking in the five secondary schools of Baiteshwor Rural Municipality in Dolakha engaging students studying in grades 8, 9 and 10. The participating students learned about the science and basic fundamentals behind renewable energy generation and currently available energy technologies.
In addition to that, students were made familiar with the needs and benefits of clean cooking solutions, and providing them with hands on practical experience to use induction stoves.
PEEDA believes these school-going growing children can be the potential change agents and resource persons to support the use of clean cooking solutions in the future and spread the message of green future in their communities.
