The Nyadi river is planned to support 3 hydropower projects. The PPHP project is working with the mid-Nyadi Hydropower project, run by BPC and LEDCO.
This is the area of the Nyadi river where the power house of the project is currently planned to be built.

Thulo Besi is the largest village in the affected area, and the village nearest the powerhouse for the Mid-Nyadi Hydro project.
Naiche village is a Gurung village, 2 hours walk from Thulo Besi, and 1 hours from the intake site for the Mid-Nyadi Hydro Project.
Usta village is located on a hill above the Nyadi river, overlooking all the project area.
PEEDA staff and local enumerators carrying out a social survey in the area affected by the Mid-Nyadi project. This assesses the poverty level of the area and community willingness to contribute to the Pro-Poor Hydropower Project philosophy.
Members of the local community waiting for interviews for positions at the hydro project. The developer will train the chosen people in areas such as electrical and mechanical engineering, building and so on, and use them to contruct and maintain the hydro plant in order to give back to the local community.
