Awareness program on climate change and earthquake was conducted to students of project areas namely Thulopatal, Mirge and Namdu of Dolakha district from 24/02/2018 to 28/02/2018. Moreover, second level of competition on essay & poem was conducted among the students and were also mentored by the Nepali teacher on techniques to write good essay and poem. 

The team of Kathmandu Alternative Power and Energy Group (KAPEG), People, Energy and Environment Development Association (PEEDA) and National Technical University of Athens/ Rural Electrification Research Group (NTUA/RurERG) successfully completed the installation of 1.2 kW Solar-wind Hybrid System for the electrification of office of Ward no 4 and health post of Nisdi Rural Municipality, Mityal, Palpa. The installation was completed on 16th of November 2017.

On 17th November 2017, 20th annual general meeting of PEEDA was held successfully with active participation of members of PEEDA and few invitees. Additionally, the fourth annual publication of PEEDA namely "Energy Insight volume IV" was launched.

The group facilitation training was executed for the staffs of PEEDA on 5th and 6th May 2017 which was facilitated by Mrs. Himali Gurung of UMN. The training was focused on different aspects such as community group concept, group development stages, group formation/emerging process, problem analysis, action plan and implementation, identification of resources and mobilization, community based livelihood, sustainability of farmer group, group conflict and solution, documentation, relationship and coordination with stakeholders and activities monitoring plan. The training was fruitful and the participants actively participated throughout the training period.

Recently, PEEDA successfully conducted exposure visit to Ashapuri Organic Farm and Sunkoshi Kirshi Farm for the beneficiary farmers of targeted VDCs of Dolakha district.

Recently, PEEDA family organized annual picnic at New Dakshinkali Village Resort.

Recently, PEEDA has successfully completed awareness program on chemical fertilizer and organic farming among the beneficiary farmers group. Moreover, awareness class on climate change and earthquake was executed among students of class 7, 8 & 9 in six schools of Thulopatal and Namdu VDC. Hence, almost 250 farmers and 300 students were sensitized.

Recently, PEEDA successfully completed LAPA workshop in Thulopatal and Mirge VDC of Dolakha district.  In Thulopatal it was conducted from 28th November to 1st December 2016 and in Mirge it was from 29th November to 2nd December 2016.

On 18th November 2016, 19th annual general meeting of PEEDA was held successfully with active participation of members of PEEDA and few invitees. The meeting elected four new members for the executive committee of PEEDA. Mr. Shiva Ram Pradhan was elected as the Vice-chairperson of PEEDA. The new EC members were Gaurav Dahal, Kalpana Pradhan, Gosai Kc. Bhandari and Puspa Raj Bhattarai. Additionally, third annual publication of PEEDA namely "Energy Insight" was launched.

At this juncture of time PEEDA board have realized that PEEDA needs to have a strategic focus on some direction so that the projects can be developed and implemented more effectively in an efficient manner. This will also give a direction to the board/staffs on how to go forward. In this context, PEEDA board had planned to organize a meeting of its general members and its staff to discuss and derive the future course of PEEDA.
