Street Drama on Climate Change Adaptation, Livelihood Promotion and Nutrition

Raising awareness through observation stimulates mobilization of local resources, action and knowledge. Observation leaves an imprint in the subconscious mind of individuals that increases enthusiasm and support. This in turn encourages people to participate in bringing out positive change. Keeping this in mind, PEEDA organized street dramas on climate change adaptation, livelihood promotion and nutrition from February 2 - 4, 2023 in Baiteswor Rural Municipality (Ward 3, 6 & 7) and Gaurishankar Rural Municipality (Ward 1 & 2), Dolakha. The street dramas covered the presence of more than 500 local people including students. PEEDA anticipates such awareness events that involve...

To implement, manage and monitor the energy projects at the local level, it is essential to have the Municipal Energy Plan (MEP) in place. The Municipal Energy Plan is a five year comprehensive periodic energy plan that enables the local government to:- • Set targets for energy programmes • Support data-driven energy analysis and evidence based planning • Make an informed decision for policy making and investment • Facilitate the monitoring and evaluation...

Workshop on Solar Powered Cold Storage for Small Farmholders

PEEDA has been working on the implementation of a solar powered cold storage facility that can greatly benefit small farm holders by allowing them to keep agricultural produce fresh for longer using solar energy. This can improve their livelihood and create local employment opportunities, whilst encouraging sustainability, reducing food waste, and increasing the efficiency of food production. With this background, PEEDA has organized a workshop to facilitate the discussion on the utilization of such technologies and for PEEDA to share their experience. Event Date: Friday 7 December 2018 (Mangsir 21 2075)
